This spring, SoundLab will focus on music creation as a technique for relieving stress and improving focus. We’ll make a lot of relaxing ‘ambient’ music, and music for dancing! We’ll explore DJ techniques so that students can not only create but also perform their own music.
A project-based, hands-on, collaborative STEM learning experience for young musicians (and aspiring musicians). With one-on-one help from real electronic musicians, students will use modular synthesizers, analog synthesizers, drum machines, and GarageBand to create and perform tracks in whatever genre/style they wish! Whether your student is already producing music at home or has no music experience whatsoever, this class will empower them to explore their musical interests and talents while gaining practical knowledge about the technological side of music production.
