Beat Retreat

Learn from experts and collab with like-minded producers in this 4-week interactive online course!

Mentorship

Nothing is more helpful than the advice of someone who’s been there. Our instructors have been there, they know how to solve the problems that you’re facing, and they want to help you avoid making the same mistakes that they encountered along their path as a producer. Our small group sizes mean that you’ll get individual attention and mentorship, and as a result, you’ll progress faster than you thought possible!

Collaboration

Working with other producers is the fastest way to get better. Nothing is more encouraging than having someone there who gets it when you’re working through tricky production tasks, and nothing is equal to the creative power of multiple minds combined. We place a strong emphasis on collaboration throughout the Beat Retreat. Meet other producers and potentially form life-long musical connections!

Projects

At the Beat Retreat we’re all about learning by doing! Each week you’ll complete projects that utilize the topics we’ve covered in our live sessions. Directly apply these concepts to produce real, tangible results in your music! Some projects are collaborative but most are completed individually, and of course you’ll have help from our instructors every step of the way.

Turning Loops into Songs

Learn the Art of Finishing Tracks

Making loops is easy. Turning those loops into a song? Less so. Finishing a song is an art unto itself, and by the end of the Beat Retreat you’ll have produced a fully mixed and mastered track that’s ready to be shared with the world!

Meet like-minded producers

Working with other musicians is one of the best things you can do for your career as a producer, but sometimes it’s difficult to find others who want to make the same sort of music as you. One of the main elements of the Beat Retreat is that you’ll be able to meet other artists and work collaboratively with them to create a track together!

Get Feedback from Industry Professionals

To produce like the pros, it’s best to learn from the pros: Our team of skilled instructors will provide personalized feedback every step of the way, making sure your questions are answered and that your music is getting the attention it deserves!

Join the B+L Society

The Bloop Society is the upper echelon, open to only those producers who have attended and graduated from the Beat Retreat! Bloop Society members have access to monthly free sample pack downloads, a massive and ever-growing private playlist of some of the most helpful YouTube tutorials and music production videos, and the Bleeps+Loops Discord where we gather to trade tips and tricks, give peer track feedback, and find others to collab with. Best of all, each month Bloop Society members will have the option to either submit a track for feedback or sit down for a one-on-one private lesson with the instructor of their choice!
