Dates: July 24-28
Times: 9am-noon (parents and friends invited at 10:45am on Friday for final performance). There are coffee shops nearby for parents who don’t want to drive home during camp.
Location: Mod Squad Studios (831 S Front St, Columbus, OH)
Ages: 8-14 (recommended). Students will work with peers close to their own age.
More Info: The Bleeps+Loops Electronic Musicians’ Camp will equip students with the skills necessary to create unique compositions and pursue successful careers as music producers, sound designers, and electronic artists. Campers will also learn strategies and gain skills that will allow them to effectively collaborate with other musicians, an increasingly important skill among modern music producers.
Students will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of musical genres with guidance from experienced instructors and musicians.
Students will get rare and valuable hands-on experience using one of the most popular instruments making its way into studios and onto stages today: the modular synthesizer. They will also have the opportunity to perform using real analog synthesizers and drum machines, as well as powerful software synths and drum racks.
